Free Trade Agreements

The Dominican Republic has accelerated the negotiation of bilateral investment promotion and protection agreements with various countries in the area of foreign direct investment. Based on principles of reciprocity, these agreements are designed to promote and legally protect investments while fostering the country’s economic development.

Such agreements have been signed with Spain, Ecuador, France, Taiwan, Argentina, Chile, Switzerland, Morocco, Panama, Finland, the Netherlands, Italy, South Korea, countries across Latin America and the Caribbean, and the United States—its main trading partner.

Pellerano & Herrera provides assistance to investors and businesses operating within the scope of these bilateral agreements, supporting them in the recognition and access to the benefits established under such frameworks.
